Theme Color Palette
Switch between Elrond's built-in color palettes. Each palette pairs a light and dark mode with a recommended accent color.
Elrond ships with a set of hand-crafted color palettes. Each palette comes with its own light and dark mode, so your site stays polished whichever appearance your readers prefer. This guide shows how to switch palettes — to set the accent color each one uses, head to Accent Color.
Choosing a Palette
- In your Ghost Admin, open Settings → Design & branding.
- Click the Customize button to open the design panel.
- Select the Theme tab.
- Under the first Site wide section, open the Palette dropdown and pick a palette.
- Click Save. Your new palette is live.
Note: Changes preview instantly inside the customization panel, so you can try each palette before saving.
Available Palettes
Every palette below — except Default — is designed around a specific accent color. For the intended look, set your accent color to the recommended hex (see Accent Color).

The Default palette
Default is the classic light & dark theme. It works with any Ghost accent color — choose whatever matches your brand.
Light & Dark Modes
Each palette includes both a light and a dark variant. The theme follows your reader's system appearance automatically, so both modes are covered out of the box — no extra configuration needed.
