Social Accounts
Connect your social profiles in Ghost and Skalven displays them automatically — no theme editing required.
Skalven uses Ghost's native social accounts. Connect your profiles once in Ghost Admin and the theme automatically shows the matching icons across your site — no code, no theme edits.
Requires a recent Ghost version
Native social accounts arrived in a recent Ghost release. If you only see Facebook and X fields, update Ghost to the latest version to unlock the full list below.
Adding Your Social Accounts
- In your Ghost Admin, open Settings.
- Search for or scroll to the Social accounts section.
- Enter your handle or profile URL for each platform you want to display.
- Click Save — Skalven instantly shows an icon for every connected account.
Note: Only the platforms you fill in appear. Leave a field empty to hide that icon.
Supported Platforms
Ghost natively supports nine social networks. Skalven renders a matching icon for each one you connect:

Where They Appear
Skalven places your connected accounts in designated sections throughout the site, following the theme's layout. Because the icons are powered by Ghost's native settings, they stay in sync automatically — add or remove an account in Settings → Social accounts, and your site updates instantly without ever touching the theme.

Set your site's accent color in Ghost and match it to your chosen color palette for a cohesive, on-brand look.
Comments
The built-in commenting feature of Ghost enables members to engage in discussions, encouraging them to participate directly on your website and become active contributors in the community.
